Advancing Lead–Tin Perovskite Solar Cells

We are pleased to share a new scientific publication highlighting advances in interface passivation for narrow-bandgap lead–tin perovskite solar cells, published in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (Volume 18, Issue 22).

The paper,“Structure–Property Relationships for Linear, Extended, and Branched Alkane Ammonium Iodide Derivatives as Interface Passivators for Narrow-Bandgap Lead–Tin Perovskite Solar Cells”, investigates how different ammonium iodide derivatives influence charge extraction, photovoltage, and device stability in perovskite solar cells. The results provide valuable insights into the design of effective passivation strategies for next-generation photovoltaic technologies.

This work was supported by the LUMINOSITY project, demonstrating how collaborative European research is helping to advance innovative materials and processes for high-performance photovoltaics.
