LUMINOSITY at EU PVSEC2025

September 30, 2025 Bilbao, Spain

The LUMINOSITY project proudly participated in the 42nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC), held from 22–26 September 2025 in Bilbao, Spain. As one of the world’s premier events for solar research and innovation, EU PVSEC 2025 offered a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration, and exploring new opportunities in solar energy. The LUMINOSITY team engaged with the international PV community through various discussions and presentations, sharing the latest advancements and outcomes of the project’s research.

Perovskite Network Booth

For the second year in a row, LUMINOSITY participated in the Perovskite Network joint booth, hosted at Booth F6. The booth brought together LUMINOSITY and fellow network projects: SuPerTandem, LAPERITIVO, NEXUS, PEARL, VALHALLA, TRIUMPH, TESTARE, PEPPERONI, Smartline PV, Diamond, PERSEUS, Viperlab. This collaborative space proved highly effective in attracting attention, showcasing the innovative work of multiple EU-funded projects in perovskite solar cells.

At the booth, our Dissemination Manager Anastasia Grozdanova engaged visitors, distributing project flyers, reinforcing the impact and visibility of LUMINOSITY within the PV community.

Perovskite Innovation Roundtable

LUMINOSITY also took center stage during the Parallel Event “Perovskite Innovation Roundtable: Driving EU Leadership in Perovskite Innovation” on Monday, 22 September. This roundtable broungt together key players in the field of perovskite research and commercialization to explore the future of European innovation in this fast-evolving area. During the session, the perovskite projects showcased scientific and technological results, discussed challenges, and explored opportunities for scaling up perovskite photovoltaics to large-area modules and industrial manufacturing.

Prof. Arno Smets (TU Delft) delivered a compelling presentation highlighting LUMINOSITY’s progress, impact, and contributions to advancing perovskite solar technologies.

Poster Presentation

The project was further highlighted during the poster session, where Paula Perez Rodriguez presented her work titled “Development of a Transparent Protective Barrier Layer via PECVD for Flexible Thin-Film Solar Cells”. Her research drew significant attention, sparking discussions with attendees and contributing to knowledge exchange within the perovskite PV community.
